Want to get involved? Joining one of these Press Club committees is a great way to meet people and help the clubs efforts:
Excellence in Journalism: Manage annual contest. Help identify categories / rules. Assist in arranging for judging and planning event.
Executive Committee: Comprised of officers, the immediate past president, and committee chairs.
Engagement Committee: Develop and implement ways to engage members, prospects and broader community about events and activities, using professional and other connections (including social media).
Governance: Oversee legal operations, trustee nomination process and elections. Review bylaws.
Hall of Fame Committee: Select and nominate candidates for Press Club of Cleveland Journalism Hall of Fame and Chuck Heaton Award gala.
Membership Development Committee: Develop and implement efforts to attract new members and retain current members. Act as membership ambassadors at club events.
Program Committee: Ensure Press Club offers engaging, educational and fun programming for members and public. Brainstorm ideas, line up speakers and support events.
Ways and Means Committee: Provide fiscal oversight and guidance, including budget, profit and loss, new sources of revenue.
