Description of Position:

Specific duties include the following:
Conduct thorough interviews with attorneys to obtain appropriate information for biographies.
Develop, write, edit and proofread all attorney biographies.
Prepare announcements to support new attorney arrivals.
Maintain accuracy and completeness of biographies, hard copy and on website.
Stay abreast of Firm practice group priorities and activities, as well as news and current events related to the Firm, such as industry rankings.
Ensure consistency of information across all Firm communication platforms.
Support and back up the Firms senior writers when necessary.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or related field and 1-2 years of experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access and Excel. Exceptional writing, proofreading and editing skills. Top grammatical skills and a strong adherence to editorial guidelines.
Ability to speak effectively with all levels of clients and professional and support staff. Interpersonal communication skills necessary to maintain effective relationships with partners, attorneys, clients and staff and to exhibit a high degree of responsiveness, diplomacy and professionalism in these interactions.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from all levels of professional and support staff, clients.
Ability to write business correspondence, reports, and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
